Tommie’s room
Tommie slowly wakes up.
Sweet Little Bear is lying close to him.
posh Badger, Kees Gnome, and Rinus Reindeer are also there.
Tommie sits up and mumbles: “Was I dreaming or was it all real?”
There is a moment of silence, but then Posh Badger says: “Tommie, I think it was just a dream.”
“No,” says Kees Gnome, “it was very real.”
“Of course not, it was a dream.”
“What are you complaining about, Posh Badger? It was a really cool adventure.”
Rinus Reindeer agrees wholeheartedly and sings:
We went on a trip together,
it was a huge party.
The fairytale forest, a menagerie,
the North Pole, what a great feeling,
with Tommie at the wheel,
it was one big adventure.
Tommie strokes Sweet Little Bear on the snout and asks: ‘And you, what do you think?’
Sweet Little Bear looks at him beaming and says: ‘I really enjoy being with you and Kees Gnome and Posh Badger and Rinus Reindeer. The big polar bear at the North Pole was right: I have real friends.’
“Look!” Rinus Reindeer shouts, “it’s snowing, even here in Helmond!”
They all run to the window and shout: “Snow!
And together they watch the snow.
For a long time and very quietly.
And together they are very happy.
